"OK, so we know it’s crazily early to be thinking about Christmas, but when we heard Luella was opening Liberty’s Christmas grotto this year, we were beyond excited. After all, who better than a designer known for her quintessentially British creations to open the grotto of such an iconic British store, right? Plus we're just a little bit obsessed with the girly wonders she bought to the LFW catwalk this year, which were a clear theme in Liberty’s pink and blue tinsel decorations. Luella has collaborated with the store to launch a Christmas wishlist of products to sit pride of place in the grotto, featuring all her top gift picks (check out our video to hear her favourites!). She’s also lent her creative hand to the shop’s amazing window displays, including one with a British memorabilia collection and another with a giant tinsel robin (you have to see it to believe it). Liberty Luella Christmas

Working with 2008 Designer of the Year Luella Bartley was so much fun. As children of the 70's Luella and I soon realised that we both have a love for very British traditions including the Queens speech, the Christmas day family lunch, Quality Street, carolling and our much loved red breasted Robin! So we took all these great themes and gave them a twist...the boxing day hunt is transformed into Mr Wilbur Force Huntley and his fox family enjoying Christmas at their country estate. Famous British musicians caroling on London's streets, Pantomime dames screeching 'he's behind you' and a huge tinsel robin with Googly eyes make up this years windows.

We also created a Liberty Luella grotto in the Carnaby St entrance of the store which is filled with fantastic gifts for Christmas including Luella's gift idea's.
